1.Glizzy Gobblers (5-0) +0
118-107 Win Over Drake’s New Favorite Team (3-2)
Even the super duo of Josh Allen and Cooper Kupp couldn’t slow this freight train down. Christian persevered despite a down week from Lamar (15) and Najee (5.5) and enjoyed superb showing from JJ (25.5) and Mark Andrews (18). Week 6 looks bright for the league leader, when a hobbled Andy’s squad comes to play.
2. How Do You Turn This On? (3-2) +2
145.5-85.5 Win over Mickey Mouse Club (2-3)
John bounced back in a big way against his brother, receiving awesome days from Kelce (29.5), Kermit (31), CMC (20.5) and Diggs (22.5). Chris Olave (13) may miss some time with a concussion and CeeDee Lamb (7.5) fell back to earth after 3 straight double digit weeks. With David Montgomery (17) back in action and Melvin Gordon (11.5) taking on a starting role, this team is in a great position going into the bye weeks. In week 6 he will do battle with me, and I can only hope he used up all his scoring magic this week.
3. Dirty D (4-1) -1
81.5-112 Loss to Burrow’s Burgers (2-3)
Mike’s team finally dropped their 1st week and tasted a tiny bit of bitter regression. Jalen Hurts (30) is still awesome and Dalvin (25) is looking better, but the rest of this team was nowhere to be found. Cooks and Wilson combined for a cool 7.5 points and Darren Waller (0) is hurt. He’ll have an excellent shot at getting back in the Win column against Frank in Week 6, but it’s obvious this team has some very real concerns.
4. Drake’s New Favorite Team (3-2) -1
107-118 Loss to Glizzy Gobblers (5-0)
LiMonta boldly claimed he’d slay the undefeated beast this week, but alas, pride cometh before the fall. Josh Allen (42.5) continues to operate in another galaxy and Cooper Kupp (25.5) won me some moneys. Thank you Cooper, very cool.
Dallas Goedert (13) has been one of the more reliable TEs this year but Christain Kirk (1.5) has fallen off a bit. LiMonta will start inter divisional play against Drew who will be replacing Derek Carr with Jets Legend Geno Smith.
5. It’s Not About The Mooney (2-3) +1
113-122 Loss to #1 Ice Cream Fan (2-3)
Rob dropped Week 5 to Andrew “I am the bull now” McCann despite good to great play from Saquon (18.5) and Lenny (31). Justin Herbert (16) was a bit lackluster and Pat Freiermuth (2) hasn’t been reliable every week. This team has Deebo (10) but otherwise no receiver depth to speak of. He’ll catch a break in Week 6 when he takes on Steve who will be without not 1 but both of his starting running backs.
6. Mickey Mouse Club (2-3) -1
85.5-145.5 Loss to How Do You Turn This On? (3-2)
Injuries and underperformance have plagued this team that was once a perennial high scorer but is now facing missing the playoffs. The permanent loss of Javonte, the temporary loss of Cordarrelle and the possible suspension of Davante Adams has this team relying on the likes of Rachaad White (4.5) and Tyler Allegeier (5) for RB production. Factor in Michael Pittmans (7.5) slump and this team has a whole lot of questions and not many answers. Things aren’t looking any better as he will face the undefeated Christain in Week 6.
7. Burrows Burgers (2-3) +1
112-81.5 Win over Dirty D (4-1)
Well at least somebody managed to knock off an undefeated team this week. Olc rode great performances out of Chubb (30) and Tyler Lockett (28.5) which thankfully made up for an otherwise uninspired roster. Burrow (18) was fine and every other non-kicker here didn’t muster double digits. His Week 6 matchup pulls Dan to town who will be forced to go back to his original QB in Matt Stafford. It should be quite a matchup between the 2-3 squads, in what we all can agree should be the MATCHUP OF THE WEEK - THE CLASSICBOWL
8. #1 Ice Cream Fan (2-3) +1
122-113 Win over It’s Not About The Mooney (2-3)
Make that 2 wins in a row for the bid dawg. Austin Ekeler (36.5) finally had his big game and Breece Hall (29.5) made all the Jets fans pants a little tighter with his big day. Tyreek Hill (8.5) took a big step backward and Tee Higgins (0) is hurt once again. After a slow start, Drew is now averaging a respectable 112 points per week and looks to be on the upswing. He’ll take on LiMonta’s squad in Week 6 who is eager to get back in the Win column.
9. Jolly Rodgers (2-3) -2
109-118 Loss to Jesus At Red Rocks (2-3)
Steve made things interesting on Monday night as Josh Jacobs (31) is making every fantasy analyst look dumb with his excellent season. But this squad still came up short and Steve’s record dipped back below .500. Aaron Rodgers (18) was mediocre against the Giants and Kyle Pitts (0) was a surprise inactive. Derrick Henry (30.5) has been absolutely on fire the last 3 weeks, but Jamaal Williams (6) failed to capitalize on a 2nd straight week of no D’Andre Swift. Steve has a somewhat winnable matchup with Rob in Week 6, but he will be without the service of both Williams and Henry. Good luck with that.
10. MaKamaraka Great Again (2-3) +0
102-90 Win over Keep My Phamily’s Name Out Yo Mouth (1-4)
We did it boys, we are averaging over 100 points per week. Schedule the parade now, because this team is going all the way. Now you may be asking, why are you celebrating being in 10th place after getting only your 2nd win against the worst team in the league? Because right now this is all I’ve really got going on in my life. And that fact is only slightly less depressing than my current QB situation.
Russel Wilson (10) tried his best to thwart my plans and James Robinson (5) once again faltered after his hot start. It was nice to see Alvin Kamara (24.5) do something for once (he is currently the lowest scorer of the 1st round picks), and Marquise Brown (17) has been a pleasant surprise. TJ Hockenson (0.5) was just as invisible as the rest of the Lions, and I will be without him in Week 6 when I take on John. I for one can’t wait to watch another riveting installment of Denver Football. Broncos County: Please Die.
11. Jesus At Red Rocks (2-3) +0
118-109 Win over Jolly Rodgers (2-3)
Dan pulled out the W against Steve this week, thanks in no part to new addition Jared Goff (6) who ended up with fewer fantasy points than FAAB dollars used to purchase him. There were plenty of players who did show up, though. Jeff Wilson (23) has been rock steady and WR8 Mike Williams (20.5) has been enjoying the absence of Keenan Allen. The starting RB duo of Mixon (10.5) and Dobbins (4) was less inspiring, but the win still counts all the same. Dan still has a long road ahead of him despite a somewhat encouraging 38% playoff chance, and he’ll take on his roommate in the battle for Queens Blvd dominance.
12. Keep My Phamily’s Name Out Yo Mouth (1-4) +0
90-102 Loss to MaKamaraka Great Again (2-3)
In a situation that can only be compared to the waning days of a crumbling empire, Frank’s team is in absolute shambles and we are barely one third of the way done with the season. Coming in at just 82.4 points per week, Frank’s team has now dropped a month’s worth of matchups in a row. New addition Tom Brady (25.5) was solid as was Rhamondre Stevenson (22.5) and Etienne (13.5) had his best week of the year. However, sophomore Ja’Marr Chase (8.5) couldn’t keep up with the golden leg of Justin Tucker and Sunday Night Football put another nail in his coffin. Currently in last place and a date with 4-1 Mikey D on deck, it’s safe to start assaulting Frank with trade offers.
