1. Drake’s New Favorite Team (7-3) +1
131-92.5 Win over The DK Crew (6-4)
It looks like we have a new top dog. In what would have been a very clear Matchup of The Week had yours truly not taken the week off from writing these incredible blurbs, the reigning champ took sole possession of 1st place with his win over Olc. Darrell William (30.5) had his biggest game of the year and Cooper Kupp (22.5) continues his insane season. Even Josh Allen (27) rebounded from a dismal Week 9.
With Mixon coming off bye and CEH almost ready to play, this team is firing on all cylinders and will continue his quest for a dynasty in Week 11 when he takes on the fellow “7-3” Rob.
2. The DK Crew (6-4) -1
92.5-131 Loss to Drake’s New Favorite Team (7-3)
After several weeks of basking in the glory of 1s place, Olc was humbled a bit in Week 10 as LiMonta took him to school. Russell Wilson (7) looked awful in his return and DK Metcalf (3.5) threw a tantrum and got ejected. The duo of JTT (28) and Dalvin Cook (20.5) is still very beefy, and the complement of James Robinson (16) only improves things.
To make matters worse, Olc jumped in on the tradepoopacalype this past Monday, securing stud TE Travis Kelce and the Cardinals D/ST in a big time win-now move. He will square off with his little bro in Week 11.
3. MaKamaraka Great Again (6-4) +2
90.5-87.5 Win over Mickey Mouse Club (5-5)
The boys are back in town for their 2nd straight win over the Labeck family. Kamara fill-in Mark Ingram (19) did well while D’Andre Swift (22.5) and Justin Jefferson (23.5) provided enough support for Van Jefferson (6.5) to bring it home on MNF. Jefferson and Jefferson, Receivers At Law.
On the flip side, TJ Hockenson (0) is a god damn mystery, although it’s really not that crazy when you consider the mouthbreather that throws the ball to him. Tom Brady (17) also showed he is in fact possibly mortal with an egregiously bad 1st half in which he threw 2 picks. With Zeke now on board and not a single future draft pick in sight, the commish will take on Drew in week 11 as he looks to shore up a playoff spot.
4. 12 Years A Colluder (6-4) -1
77-88 Loss to Dirty D (4-6)
In what barely beat my own matchup for lowest combined score of the week, Dan dropped a winnable Week 10 matchup after his roster refused to cooperate. Both Julio Jones and DeAndre Hopkins did not play, while Khalil Herbert and Kadarius Toney were out on bye. Russel Gage (0) didn’t make things any easier especially with AJ Dillon (27) exploding on the bench after the Aaron Jones injury. At least Najee Harris (21) has shown no signs of slowing down.
Dan also joined in on the fun on Monday, securing both Davante Adams and AJ Brown in what should make for an excellent receiver core come playoff time. If Elijah Mitchell (11) and Lamar Jackson (16) can finish strong, this team is eying contention despite a bottom half point total.
5. Mickey Mouse Club (5-5) -1
87.5-90.5 Loss to MaKamaraka Great Again (6-4)
After averaging 138.5 points per week over his 3 week W streak, Andy fell flat in week 10 to the commish. Only outsourcing his season-worst showing by 1 point, Andy got no help from Carson Wentz (9), CPatt (3.5), or Darren Waller (4). Tyreek (23.5) and James Conner (13.5) both had nice games, but it wasn’t enough to overcome a not-so-impressive points total from yours truly.
Andy now stands at 5-5 despite a healthy point total, most likely due to his boom or bust nature this season. If he wants to break out from the middle of the pack, he’ll have to start immediately against his fellow 5-5 competition in Christian.
6. Ha Gayyyyyyyyy (5-5) +1
104-87 Win over Dying On This Tannehill (4-6)
In the Week 10 Seller Showdown, Christian emerged victorious over John with a ton of help from his Dak Stack which combined for 52 points. Michael Carter (16) and D’ernest Johnson (18.5) pitched in as well, but the rest of the roster fell flat. I guess this was as good of a week as any for that to happen.
DJ Moore (4) has put up double digits once since Week 4, casting some doubt on the receiving end of things. So Christian went out and feasted on the corpses of the defeated, picking up Mike Evans and Mark Andrews in exchange for a 2nd rounder and Antonio Gibson. With these 2 on board, Christian has signalled he is making a push for the dance, and will be put up against Andy in Week 11.
7. Getting Higgy With It (7-3) -1
101.5-87 Win over Calico Cut Lance (1-9)
Despite a 7-3 record, I can’t find myself believing whole heartedly in this team. CMC (21) came back and did CMC things, but once again may be hurt. Deebo Samuel (29.5), looks legit as ever but scary Terry (8) has faded and Mike Gesicki (0) was a non factor. The status of both Chris Carson and Kyler Murray remains in flux as well, casting further doubt on the possible success of this squad in Week 11.
At 7th in points scored and 9th in points against, it stands to reason that this team has been quite lucky given the circumstances. Should CMC, Carson, and Kyler remain sidelined, this team could easily be handed another L. Especially with a strong LiMonta squad coming to town. I can’t wait for this team to sneak into the playoffs anyway.
8. Only Fants (5-5) +2
130-86.5 Win over Superfluous Simps SS (4-6)
1 point shy of tying the week’s high scorer, Steve had a nice week on the backs of a yuuge Mahomes (46) week and Diggs’ (31) best week of the year by far. The Dolphins D/ST (17) also shut down the Ravens, but no one else on this team truly excelled. Josh Jacobs (5.5) has looked off all year while Jarvis Landry (4) can’t seem to get it going with the Browns’ recent downturn. Steve is certainly not out of playoff contention at 5-5, but a tough matchup against his big brother in Week 11 is going to be a tall order.
9. Dying On This Tannehill (4-6) -1
87-104 Loss to Ha Gayyyyyyyyy (5-5)
With the unfortunate loss to Christian, John has now dropped 2 in a row and has fallen to 9th in the standings. Despite being 4th in points on the year, John’s squad has not played the best fantasy defense as his 1176.5 points against is good for 3rd most overall.
Davante Adams (10.5), AJ Brown (1.5), and Travis Kelce (20) have all packed their bags in the recent fire sale, leaving Ryan Tannehill (19) and Austin Ekeler (13.5) to hold down the fort until new additions Dawson Knox, Donovan Peoples-Jones, Jaylen Waddle, and Damien Harris arrive. And whaddya know? They packed their bags with a shitload of draft picks for John to use down the road. It seems he’s waved the white flag on the season in order to compete in the years to come. RIP in pieces. I’m glad to say I had a hand in it.
10. Dirty D (4-6) +1
88-77 Win over 12 Years A Colluder (6-4)
Mike put a little more distance between himself and his 2nd dress this week, eking out a victory over an injury plagued Murph. Jalen Hurts (20) looks to be back on track and Keenan Allen (13.5) and Goeroge Kittle (13.5) put up decent weeks.
Mike has now won 2 of his last 3 and while he has only put up 100 or more in one of those weeks, you can’t argue with results. What you can argue, though, is that this team is in a far weaker state with Aaron Jones (10) sidelined for a couple of weeks. Mike is going to have a TON of RB issues this week against Frank as Jones will be out and Henderson hits the BYE. It couldn’t be worse timing as he has a matchup with Frank on deck - a matchup which would put another nail in the coffin of his dress wearing possibilities.
11. Superfluous Simps SS (4-6) -2
86.5-130 Loss to Only Fants (5-5)
How’s my favorite trade partner doing today? John wasn’t the only club to surrender to the night this week, as Drew pulled the plug on his season to cash in on some draft picks for 2022. His top scorer on the week, Zeke (19.5), has been shipped off as well as Mike Evans (16) and old pal Mark Andrews (15). He did manage to snag RB duo Antonio Gibson and Boston Scott, as well as two 2nd rounders along the way.
In Week 11, Drew has a fun matchup with yours truly, and with Stafford hitting the bye he’ll have to turn to the waiver wire for some QB help. Love you.
12. Calico Cut Lance (1-9) +0
87-101.5 Loss to Getting Higgy With It (7-3)
Frank sold his team before it was cool. Just wanted you all to know that.
For a good portion of the week it actually looked like Frank might steal a victory from Bogle, but Deebo Samuel had other plans and Frank has now amassed his 9th (!) loss of the season. With 4 weeks left to play and his roster mostly now on other teams, it’s a real possibility we could see a repeat of Mike’s disastrous 12 loss season in 2018. The last time Frank lost this many games, you’d have to go allllll the way back to 2013 where topical (at the time) reference-named “Christian Top/Liam Bottom” went a paltry 3-10 on the year.
He ain’t a threat no more in 2021, but with some very intriguing keeper options and a boatload of future picks, Frank could be a force to be reckoned with come next season. After a season of this much bad fortune, he’s gotta be due for it, right?
