1.Drake’s New Favorite Team (4-2) +4
194.5-132.5 Win over Dirty D (2-4)
And just like that, the champ is back on top. LiMonta set the new record for this season’s most point in a week, and he did so on the back of some major performances from Josh Allen (36), Joe Mixon (26.5), Leonard Fournette (29) and Cooper Kupp (34.5). He also swung a neat trade for Sleepy Clyde’s backup in Darrel Williams (23.5) who was also a major contributor. He’ll have a chance to assert Melvin dominance as he faces off with John in Week 7.
2. 12 Years A Colluder (4-2) +1
113-100.5 Win over Mickey Mouse Club (2-4)
Dan strung together his 2nd straight victory, able to overcome Andy and put himself into the 3-way tie for 1st in the division. While no one on the squad had a incredible week, Najee Harris (23), DeAndre Hopkins (18.5) and waiver wire scoop Khalil Herbert (18) all pitched in. The boom-or-bust nature of Lamar Jackson (12) continues to be a concern, however, and that goes doubly for Mike Williams (3) who has the ability to win or lose a matchup based on his day. What is a good sign for Dan, though, is that Dallas Goedert (DNP) is now the lone TE in Philly and will be in line for more targets. He will be without both Williams and Najee as he takes on a Zeke and Hunt-less Drew in Week 7.
3. The DK Crew (3-3) +8
151-84.5 Win over MaKamaraka Great Again (4-2)
I can’t help but think this beatdown comes partially due to my constant lack of respect for this team in the ranks. Olc’s team came to play in Week 6, getting great weeks out of Burrow (26), Cook (28), and Taylor (33.5) while James Robinson (17.5) and Diontae Johnson (13.5) were no slouches either. Even without Russell Wilson, this team has barely slowed down and has narrowly taken the lead over his brother for most points scored. He also may have lost breakout TE Dawson Knox (5.5) to a hand injury, and is absolutely plagued with bye weeks for his matchup against Christian. Let’s see if he can keep the magic rolling.
4. MaKamaraka Great Again (4-2) -4
84.5-151 Loss to The DK Crew (3-3)
This is what I get for allowing myself to be confident and happy. Even if it was just for a few days.
This team dropped the ball in nearly every way in Week 6, starting off with a quiet week from Handsome Tom (20) on Thursday. JD McKissic (14) and newcomer D’Andre Swift (15.5) were both fine, but they were no match for the mammoth point total being dropped on them by their opponent. While the rebound of TJ Hockenson (11) is encouraging, a lack of production from both Justin Jefferson (10) and Hollywood Brown (5) is concerning given the depth at WR that was just traded away. With Kamara back and Rob’s squad hurting, I’ll try to get back in the Win column in Week 7.
5. Getting Higgy With It (4-2) -4
77-161 Loss to Ruggs Munchers (3-3)
After a 4-0 start, this team has entered a full on meltdown as they’ve scored a combined 143 points over the last two weeks and has lost both CMC and Chris Carson to the IR. Kyler Murray (27) can still get it done and Mike Gesicki (20) is becoming a reliable TE, the rest of this squad is in anguish. The RB duo of Devontae Booker (9) and Chase Edmonds (5.5) inspired little confidence while the production of Tee Higgins (5.5) continues to slip. In Week 7 against the commish, Rob is going to need Deebo Samuel to come off of his bye with a vengeance if he doesn’t want to drop his 3rd in a row.
6. Ruggs Munchers (3-3) +3
161-77 Win over Getting Higgy With It (4-2)
Because one smackdown by an Ollquist wasn’t enough, Steve also decided to spit roast his opponent, making quick work of a bereft Bogle squad. Patrick Mahomes (30) looked sharp and Derrick Henry (44) continues to deny the laws of gods and men whenever he steps on a football field. Stefon Diggs (18.5), Henry Ruggs (19.5), and Noah Fant (19.5) also has nice weeks. Despite the top heavy Melvins division, Steve is still right in the thick of it, and he’ll square off with Mike in Week 7 without the services of Stefon Diggs.
7. Superfluous Simps SS (3-3) -1
108-124.5 Loss to Ha Gayyyyyyyyy (3-3)
We all knew the magic had to end sometime. Drew dropped his first matchup since Week 2, despite the efforts of Matt Stafford (27) and Mark Andrews (14.5). Drew managed to cash in on his RB depth by swinging a trade with the commish, and new faces Mike Evans (3) and Robert Woods (10) didn’t exactly bring the heat. What’s worse is that Drew’s new RB2 Kareem Hunt will be out for several weeks with an injury. He’s also dealing with less serious injuries to Odell Beckham, Kenny Golladay, and Latavius Murray. Couple that with Bye weeks for Zeke and Schultz, and Drew is going to have a tough time fielding an entire roster let alone an effective one.
Both of these rosters certainly won’t be at full strength. And what a shame, because this is the matchup of the year folks. This is where those precious centimeters are put on the line. For pride in their tuna cans - I present to you, the 2021 CHODEBOWL
8. Ha Gayyyyyyyyy (3-3) +0
124.5-108 Win over Superfluous Simps SS (3-3)
Christian avoided his 4th loss on the year this week, thanks mostly to the efforts of CeeDee Lamb (35.5) and Alex Collins (23.5). Justin Herbert (12) had his first real dud of the season and what’s worse is that Antonio Gibson (4) may miss some time with a calf injury. It was also a bit conerning to see DJ Moore (7.5) have his 2nd straight quiet week, but a date with the Giants in Week 7 is probably the cure for that. In Week 7, he’ll take on Olc whose team has been very hot. The good news? All of Olc’s team is on bye. The bad news? So is most of Christian’s. We’ll see what move Christian can make for his QB in Week 7.
9. Mickey Mouse Club (2-4) -5
100.5-113 Loss to 12 Years A Colluder (4-2)
This is what it must have been like to watch the Roman Empire slowly rot from the inside. Andy landed his 4th loss of the season this week, but did manage to buck the trend of both losing and scoring under 100. That’s what we call a moral victory.
Aaron Rodgers (23) upheld his ownership of the Bears and Tyreek Hill (17.5) looked more like himself. Outside of that, though, it was a tough go for this team, with the rest of the non-D/ST and Kickers all scoring single digits. The most concerning among them is Darren Waller (7.5) who has scored single digits in 4 of 6 games. Andy will mostly avoid dealing with the bye-pocalypse this Week as he takes on Frank who’s team has been skidding for some time.
10. Dying On This Tannehill (2-4) +0
81-73.5 Win over Calico Cut Lance (1-5)
In a matchup that combined for fewer points than 2 other teams scored on their own, John managed to escape the victor, as Ryan Tannehill (13) managed to not completely embarrass himself. The same cant be said for Myles Gaskin (1) who went right back to sucking after a big Week 5, and Austin Ekeler (6) had an uncharacteristically bad week against the Ravens. The trio of receivers in Adams (10), Chase (11) and Kelce (13) were all relatively quiet as well. Despite the less than ideal overall performance, John still got a W and is keeping himself in the conversation for the playoffs. He will be without Ekeler as he takes on LiMonta who himself will be without his beloved Josh Allen.
11. Dirty D (2-4) -5
132.5-194.5 Loss to Drake’s New Favorite Team (4-2)
It’s been a tough go for Mike lately who has now dropped his 4th loss of the year and his 3rd straight. After facing down the barrel of 167.5 points against last week, Mike got the pleasure of facing the week’s high scorer as LiMonta dismantled any hope of a Dirty D victory. Strong weeks out of Jalen Hurts (26), Darrell Henderson (24), and Adam Thielen (28.5) were all wasted as the juggernaut rained down on him.
Mike now sits in 11th in the standings with the 10th most points for, and he’ll need all the help he can get against Steve in Week 7. Perhaps the return of Mike Davis from bye can help prevent Mike from a full month of losses.
12. Calico Cut Lance (1-5) +1
73.5-81 Loss to Dying On This Tannehill (3-3)
With Pitts, Lance, and Ridley all on Bye, Frank had to rely on the likes of Taylor Heinicke (11), DeVonta Smith (4) and Rick Seals-Jones (13) to stave off his 5th loss of the season. Despite a not so strong showing from his opponent, Frank just couldn’t make it happen this week. Zack Moss (4) continues to share the workload with Devin Singletary and Amari Cooper (7.5) has been frustrating to say the least.
Frank did start to sell off some spare parts in recent days, flipping a waiver wire scoop for the Bills D/ST and landed a temporarily starting strong RB in Chuba Hubbard. At 1-5 and his best player out for multiple weeks, it’s hard to envision a world in which this squad makes the playoffs. So, out of respect, let’s all cannibalize his team and squeeze out every drop of points we can get from it.
