1. Getting Higgy With It (4-0) +0
157.5-90.5 Win over Dying On This Tannehill (1-3)
No McCaffrey? No problem! Rob strolled into his 4th victory this week and remains the only undefeated squad in the Bingo Club. The receiving duo of Deebo Samuel (39) and Terry McLaurin (32) were already almost enough to defeat John, but Rob just kept piling it on. Kyler Murray (26) continues to dominate while his buddy Chase Edmonds (21) helped carve up the Rams. Rob will be in a good position to possibly reach 5-0 next week when he takes on Olc.
2. MaKamaraka Great Again (3-1) +1
104.5-90 Win over 12 Years A Colluder (2-2)
Victory was never in doubt. Despite a very un Brady-like week from Tom (12) this squad hung on and escaped the Monday Night Miracle. Hollywood Brown (20) had a strong day and Justin Jefferson (17) continues to contribute. While no one on the team aside from Brown broke 20, and Alvin Kamara (19) has yet to have his Super Saiyan game, a W is a W in my book. Ya Boi will square off with Steve in Week 5 and I sleep well knowing Rex Burkehead can’t hurt me again this season.
3. Mickey Mouse Club (2-2) +2
141-116.5 Win over The DK Crew (1-3)
All it took was a little bit of shit talking and a little bit of factual evidence in last week’s rankings and here we are, Andy’s team scores points again. Labeck the elder secured his birthday present (happy almost birthday you fucking skunk) and he should get down on his knees and thank whatever god he prays to that Tyreek Hill exists. Hill (49.5) found the end zone 3 times and was the perfect complement to David Montgomery (29) and Aaron Rodgers (25). It was great timing, because the rest of this roster basically decided to take the week off, as the other 6 players only managed a measly 37.5 points combined. Let’s see if he can keep his magic rolling with the Week 5 DrewperBowl.
4. Dirty D (2-2) +0
101.5-102 Loss to Superfluous Simps SS (1-3)
In a painful Monday night loss, Mike was a 4yd Keenan Allen catch away from securing his 3rd win. The Chargers had another plans, though, and Mike now stands at 2-2 instead of holding sole possession of 2nd place in the NBPL. Jalen Hurts (35) had his best week of the year, and Darrell Henderson (13.5) seems to have recovered from his injury. The rest of this staff was less impressive though. George Kittle (6) still hasn’t had that breakout game while Adam Thielen (5.5) regressed without a touchdown. Mike will be facing John in Week 5, who is hungry for a win.
5. Ha Gayyyyyyyyy (2-2) -4
102-102.5 Loss to Drake’s New Favorite Team (2-2)
Because one .5 defeat on Monday night wasn’t enough for this league, Christian also suffered at the hands of the Chargers, losing by half a point to LiMonta as Justin Herbert (22) was every so slightly not effective enough to bring home the Win for this team. Along with Herbert we saw DJ Moore (32) continue his breakout while Nick Chubb (17.5) and Antonio Gibson (15) were both effective. But you know who wasn’t effective? The Rams D/ST. The Rams unit quite literally cost Christian this week as they struggled against the Cardinals and ended up with a cool -5 points. Probably could have used those this week. I’m curious to see how his matchup with Dan in Week 5 will go.
6. Ruggs Munchers (2-2) +2
137.5-114 Win over Calico Cut Lance (1-3)
With his performance in Week 4, Steve now narrowly holds the #2 spot in points scored (I’m as surprised as you are) as his team has shown up mightily for him in both of his Wins. Pat Mahomes (36) got right back into domination mode and Derrick henry (32) is currently averaging 30 points per game even after his crappy Week 1. Even Stefon Diggs (19.5) looked much improved from Week 3, and Noah Fant (13) was the beneficiary of 10 targets. He’ll be vying for Melvin superiority in Week 5 when he takes on the commish for sole possession of 1st place.
7. Drake’s New Favorite Team (2-2) +2
102.5-102 Win over Ha Gayyyyyyyyy (2-2)
It wasn’t pretty but LiMonta walked out of MNF with his head held high. Led by Sleepy Clyde (24) this squad was able to overcome a down week from Cooper Kupp (8.5) and Cole Beasley (2) to find paydirt in Week 4. It does look as if Leonard Fournette (16.5) is the guy to own in Tampa Bay, and that will come in handy as LiMonta may be without Joe Mixon (13.5) for a bit. He also lost Logan Thomas (0) to a hamstring injury, and is already without Rob Gronkowski for the coming week. His depth is being tested early, and with a matchup with Frank looming, LiMonta can’t afford to let Week 5 slip through his fingers.
8. 12 Years A Colluder (2-2) -2
90-104.5 Loss to MaKamaraka Great Again (3-1)
While we didn’t get the epic clash of the titans that was Elijah Mitchell v Trey Sermon, this matchup was still a nailbiter despite the other much more exciting matchups. And the point total. In which mine was higher.
Dan enjoyed an excellent week out of Lamar Jackson (28) and good supporting work from Najee Harris (18) and Dallas Goedert (13.5). Hell, even Jakobi Meyers (12) got involved. Unfortunately for Dan, the Sunday morning acquisition of Nyheim Hines proved prohibitive, as he only managed -1 points on the day. Mike Williams (1.5) also did not deliver on his typical big play potential as he had himself a very quiet Monday night. As Dan’s record evens to 2-2, he’ll face off with fellow 2-2 Christian as the Melvin division begins to take shape.
9. Superfluous Simps (2-2) +2
102.-101.5 Win over Dirty D (3-1)
I don’t know what I can say about this win that I didn’t already say about LiMonta’s. Drew came within centimeters of 1-3 this week, only to have Keenan Allen fail his opponent. Drew enjoyed another good week from Zeke (27) while Tyler Boyd (20.5) continues to amass targets in the Bengals offense. Kareem Hunt (15) has also been an excellent flex play despite not being the RB1 on his own team. After his terrible start, Drew is now averaging just over 110 points per game, and he’ll have a shot at getting his record over .500 in the Week 5 DREWPERBOWL. Do I even have to say that it’s the matchup of the week?
10. The DK Crew (1-3) +0
116.5-141 Loss to Mickey Mouse Club (2-2)
Despite a talented roster, Olc’s team just can’t seem to get things rolling in 2021. He has now lost 3 straight and in 2 of those matchups his opponents rocked over 140 points. That’s some piss poor fantasy defense my friend.
Jonathan Taylor (24.5) finally had his big week, but Dalvin Cook (5) and Chuba Hubbard (8) fell flat. Stings even worse when James Robinson (20.5) and Diontae Johnson (22.5) thrived on the bench. To make things worse, Olc has a date with the undefeated Rob in Week 5 with a possible return of Christian McCaffrey
11. Dying On This Tannehill (1-3) -4
90.5-157.5 Loss to Getting Higgy With It (4-0)
Speaking of fantasy defense, John’s squad, despite having the 4th most points, is currently 1-3 thanks in part to a league-wrost -112.5 point differential. Remember when I said 2 of Olcs last 3 matchups had opponents putting up 140+? Well John’s had that too! Including a gut wrenching Week 3 loss to Drew in which John put up 145 and still lost.
Outside of an Austin Ekeler (32.5) rampage, this squad was hard to watch. Myles Gaskin (0) has all but disappeared from usage and Travis Kelce (4) had one of his worst games in recent memory. The usually strong receiving trio of Davante, Chase, and Lockett also only combined for 23 total points. It remains to be seen if this team’s scoring can start improving it’s record, and we’ll see if he’s up to challenge in Week 5 against Mike, who is coming off of a heartbreaker of his own.
12. Calico Cut Lance (1-3) +0
114-137.5 Loss to Ruggs Munchers (2-2)
Frank finally got his big week from Saquon Barkley (30.5) but the rest of the squad just couldn’t make up the difference against Steve. Zack Moss (13), Calvin Ridley (11.5), and Amari Cooper (13.5) weren’t bad but coupled with an unexciting week from Kirk Cousins (12) and the continued irrelevance of Kyle Pitts (7) and Brandon Aiyuk (1.5) and this squad finds itself in last place in the standings and at the bottom of the barrel in points scored. He’ll take on LiMonta in Week 5 as he attempts his possibly futile climb out of the cellar.
